BECOME A REFEREE

Referees must be registered as a Grade 8 level or higher for 2022 in order to referee games for Arden Park Soccer. To become a Grade 8 referee you must participate in classroom sessions, complete a field session, and pass the final exam.

You must renew your registration through California North Referee Administration (CNRA) each year. Referees are critical to having safe, fun, and successful soccer matches. They are expected to be knowledgeable on the laws of the game, act professionally, be physically fit, and be reliable. All certified referees will be paid and receive training, guidance, and support.

HOW TO BECOME A REFEREE

Option 1: Take one of Cal North Referee Administration's referee classes. Click here to register for an Entry Level Referee Course.

Option 2: Take a River City Soccer League hosted class later in the summer (usually August).

Please contact the referee coordinator, John Ebersberger, for more information regarding being a new referee or getting signed up to take a class. If you are a Grade 8 or higher referee, please contact the referee coordinator to receive the Game Officials Group number and password in order to be a certified referee for Arden Park Soccer Club.

All referee communication and game assignments and payments are managed online through https://www.gameofficials.net
