Age Matrix
Effective the Fall 2026 season, our governing organizations are moving to an August 1 – July 31 school year cycle for all age groups. This replaces the old calendar year (birth year) system.

Why the change?
Youth soccer used to be school-year based, but switched to birth year in 2016 to match international soccer. Now, the governing bodies have opted to change back. The main reason is to align teams more closely with school grades, which youth soccer leaders say improves player experience.
How will this affect players?
Because of cutoff date changes, some players who were grouped together in years past will be in different age groups in the new matrix. To support the transition and maintain consistency across the league, our club will not accept play-up requests this season. While this transition may mean some teams are restructured, it helps ensure players are grouped appropriately and that divisions remain balanced across the league.
